1. The 24-hour window
Bookings cancelled within 24 hours of ticketing are refunded in full, including taxes and the TraveloEasy service fee, provided the first departure is at least seven days away. Request it by phone or through the contact form with your booking reference.
2. After 24 hours
What you can recover depends on the fare you bought:
| Fare type | Cancellation | Change |
|---|---|---|
| Basic / promotional | No refund; taxes may be recoverable | Not permitted |
| Standard economy | Refund less airline penalty | Permitted for a fee plus fare difference |
| Flexible economy | Usually fully refundable | Usually free, fare difference applies |
| Premium / Business | Varies by fare — shown on the fare card | Often free or low fee |
Our service fee is non-refundable once a ticket has been issued and the 24-hour window has closed, because the work of issuing it has been done. A processing fee of $35 per ticket applies to refunds we file on your behalf after that window.
3. Unused and partly used tickets
A ticket that is not used and not cancelled before departure ("no-show") normally has no residual value beyond recoverable taxes. If you have flown one leg of a return, the remaining leg is usually valued at the difference between the fare paid and the applicable one-way fare, which can be zero.
4. Airline cancellations and significant changes
If the airline cancels your flight or makes a significant schedule change, you are entitled to a rebooking or a full refund of the fare and taxes, regardless of the fare type. In that case we waive our processing fee. Statutory compensation — for example under EU261 or comparable rules — is owed by the airline; we will file the claim with you and take no cut of it.
5. Refunds for medical or bereavement reasons
Many airlines will waive penalties on production of documentation for a death, serious illness or injury affecting the traveller or an immediate family member. There is no guarantee, but we will always make the request and press it for you.
6. How to request a refund
- Call +1 (806) 547-2037 or use the contact form with your booking reference.
- We check the fare rules and tell you the exact amount recoverable before filing anything.
- On your confirmation, we file the refund with the airline — usually the same business day.
- You receive a case number and we update you until the money lands.
7. Timing
Airlines typically approve refunds within 7–20 business days; your bank then takes a further 5–10 days to post the credit. Refunds are always returned to the original payment method. If your refund passes 45 days without landing, tell us and we will escalate with the carrier.
8. Chargebacks
Please talk to us before raising a chargeback. A disputed charge freezes the ticket and usually stops us from processing the very refund you are owed, which makes everything slower for you.
